It\u2019s divided into <strong>tabs<\/strong> and contains <strong>groups of commands<\/strong>. Think of it as your control panel for doing everything in Excel\u2014formatting, inserting charts, using formulas, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Ribbon Tabs (explained below):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Home<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Page Layout<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formulas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tabs on the Ribbon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the clickable options across the top of the Ribbon. Each tab shows a different set of tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Home Tab:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Basic tools like: <strong>copy\/paste, font settings, alignment, number formatting, cell styles, and sorting\/filtering.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is the most commonly used tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insert Tab:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tools to <strong>insert<\/strong> things like: charts, tables, pictures, shapes, PivotTables, and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> Page Layout Tab:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Controls how your sheet looks when printed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjust <strong>margins, orientation, paper size<\/strong>, and <strong>themes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Formulas Tab:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to <strong>functions<\/strong> like SUM, AVERAGE, IF, VLOOKUP, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Also includes the <strong>Function Library<\/strong> and formula auditing tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Data Tab:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tools to <strong>import, sort, filter, clean, or analyze data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Includes <strong>data validation, flash fill<\/strong>, and <strong>connections<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Review Tab:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tools for <strong>spelling, comments, protecting the sheet\/workbook<\/strong>, and tracking changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>View Tab:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Customize the view: <strong>freeze panes, zoom, hide\/show gridlines<\/strong>, and switch between workbook windows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Quick Access Toolbar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Located <strong>above<\/strong> the Ribbon (top-left corner).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can <strong>customize it<\/strong> to keep your favorite tools (like Save, Undo, Redo) always visible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helps you work faster without switching tabs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Excel Interface Ribbons, tabs, Quick Access Toolbar, and the worksheet grid Ribbon The Ribbon is the big toolbar at the top of Excel.
