Ensure Power Supply
- If you’re using a desktop, make sure it’s plugged into a power source and the power switch on the back (near the power cable) is turned on.
- If you’re using a laptop, ensure the battery has charge or connect it to a power source.
Turn on the Monitor:
- If using an external monitor, press its power button.
Press the Power Button
- Locate the power button on your computer. It usually has a circular power symbol (⏻) and is found:
- On desktops: Front panel of the CPU (computer case)
- On laptops: Above the keyboard or on the side
- Press and hold the power button for 1-2 seconds.
Wait for Boot-Up
- You will see the manufacturer’s logo (e.g., Dell, HP, Lenovo) on the screen.
- The computer will then load the operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, etc.).
Login (if required)
- If your computer has a login screen, enter your password or PIN.
